welcome to musetown

I've been meaning to start one of these for quite a while now, although I didn’t exactly imagine that it would take a global pandemic and government issued lockdown for me to actually knuckle down and begin writing. The thought of putting my stories out there for the world to see has seemed daunting for a long time, but I’ve learnt that I will appreciate any audience that wants to read what I have to say. I'm not sure about the correct way to begin a blog, but I suppose I should introduce myself - I’m Lina, I'm nineteen, and I enjoy writing short stories, screenplays and songs. On that last note - I like to write and produce my own music, and I’ll use this glaring opportunity to shamelessly plug my music. On this blog, I'll be posting short creative pieces as well as reviews of any books, films, or albums I come across during this quarantine period (or ones I’ve encountered before) which have particularly inspired and stood out to me. It’s an isolating time, but maybe if we use this period to grow and support each other as artists and audience members, we’ll come out of it more inspired than ever.
