Late last year, I founded a podcast called Creative License: Inside the Worlds of Rising Artists. I started this podcast because I wanted to chat to artists about their experiences of navigating the creative sector during a very challenging time. In a period of financial and mental turmoil, brought on by the pandemic as well as Brexit, there is no shortage of troubles for the young artist trying to make ends meet. My hope is to foster a sense of community spirit; while this is a bit of a crappy time, we're not in this alone. I also want to explore the wonders of the creative process, and gain fresh perspectives from everyone I speak to.
To date, I have released 11 episodes, all researched, recorded, hosted and produced solely by me. Each episode traverses exciting new ground in the artistic disciplines. My wonderful guests have included TikTok breakout star Ellie Dixon, and children's author Annabelle Sami, who was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize in 2021.
